PAROTEC^® active - a two-layer active vapor barrier made of a layer of non-woven polypropylene fabric and a polyethylene film, providing active vapor resistance. Among other things, it protects against the accumulation of excess water vapor between the drywall and the vapor barrier. At the same time, if necessary, moisture (e.g., from wet roof trusses) can drain into the building. Active vapor barrier is used in residential and industrial construction to protect the attic from the penetration of excess moisture from inside the room into the thermal insulation. Thanks to its variable Sd value, it allows moisture to escape both from the attic toward the thermal insulation and drain excess moisture toward the attic. This intelligent solution used in PAROTEC active vapor barrier prevents the disastrous effects of fungus and mold on the building. It also protects against the rotting process of structural wood.
